The fourth project that I worked on was installing keys with "key chains" that had the feeling of being from hotel rooms. I put a patina on the keys that we had to make them look older. I attached the keys to metal rings and the rings to the wood/burlap key chains. Originally we were going to hang all of the keys on the blue wall on the right of the picture, but this caused them to be spaced out about 2 inches apart, side to side and top to bottom. This really didn't have the impact that Anthropologie's displays had because it seemed so airy. We decided to put all of the keys be into the green found cabinet on the left, where they would feel compacted and larger than life.
What was the patina? Acrylic paint? Stain?
