While I did not take part in the assembling of the gourds, I did have the very exciting job of cleaning the gourds thoroughly with comet. It didn't occur to me to take a picture of just these after they were done since I did not work a long time on it, but they are in the upper right hand corner of the fireplace picture. The gourds had holes drilled into them and then they were placed on the ends of dowels that were coming from a central location on a piece of wood. At first the gourds were left without any sort of a varnish, but when the corporate visual team came, it was decided that the gourds should be shiny. These were also in "Modern Shed" which sold a combination of books, blankets, clocks, plates, and other housewares that were more likely to be found in the living or family room.
